Save a real meeting point
The public lakeside has no general West Lake admission ticket. Choose a specific lakeside entrance or pier before booking a car; enclosed attractions and boats are separate products.
At a boat pier, compare the full trip
Use a marked ticket window. Ask whether the ticket includes an island, one-way or return travel, the disembarkation pier and the final return boat. Do not assume every boat returns to the same place.
Keep the return instruction
Photograph your ticket and return-pier information and keep it until back ashore. Boat prices and hours vary; an old water-bus tariff is not a verified 2026 quote. Decline a random 'whole lake admission' sales pitch.
